Big Idea: Observation and description of the changes in the world around us nare the first steps to discovering and learning about patterns
Essential Question:

Problem 3.2 + Follow-up

Question A
If you were to make a graph of the data, the variable I would put on the x-axis would be Tour prices in dollars and the variavle that would go on the y-axis would be the number who would be customers at this price. I would do this because it does matter how much the tour costs because depending on this price the coustomers will be attracted to the tour or not. In other words, the price in $ is the independant variable and the number of customers the dependant variable.

Question B
See graph below.

Question C
Based on my graph, I think the tour operators should charge $ 350 because at this price a fair income is being made as well as a good flow of customers. Also , this price is not that expensive and seems a reasonable profit.

Follow-Up
Question 1
This is how the number of potential customers change as the price increases or decreases:
It appers that the customers want the cheapest possible price that the group has to offer, so ,when they start increasing the price the less potential customers there will be. Also, as the price decreases, the more people will be willing to take the tour.

Question 2
This is how the change in the number of people who said they would come is shown on the table:
In the table-
This is shown as the series of numbers in the customers column that are slowly decreasing with the increasing price until the price reaches $600 where the customers reach 0.
In the graph-
This is shown as a line starting of very high at 76 customers and slowly plummeting to the point of $600 where the price is so much that the people refuse to come(0 people).
